Montméat Maurel
Tran dynasty, 13-14th century
W. 16,5 cm ; H. 3,5 cm
Ivory glazed stoneware with impressed decoration
Glazing lacks, restauration on the foot.
Charming dish with impressed decoration of a chrysanthemum. A single row of petals is rare in Vietnamese ceramics. The presence of five spur marks in the well suggests the stamens of the flower. Fine grey-ivory glaze.
Provenance: Josette Schulmann collection, Paris, 1960-1970
