Description

Setsuko Nagasawa (Born 1941)

A sturdy dish, of fine dimensions, to which flexibility is given by the effect of the central fold and the four raised corners. Fine shades ranging from light beige (some areas left in reserve) to earthy dark ochre.

This dish was created within the framework of the exhibition “Ceramic from Switzerland, from Renaissance until present” which took place in 2002 in Japan, the artist was invited to the Shigaraki Ceramic Centre where she was able to create a number of dishes which were exhibited (including the one we are presenting).
