Rare and large natural mushroom specimen.
Spread out in a fan shape, it offers a beautiful wrinkled surface, iridescent on the reliefs.
A very important symbolic plant in Chinese culture which is very often represented. It is found, for example, at the top of the ruyi sceptre, and like bats and dragons, belongs to the vocabulary of auspicious signs in the decorative arts.
Known in Chinese pharmacopoeia for its medical benefits since at least the 3rd century AD. Also celebrated by Taoist poets which attribute longevity and immortality to this mushroom.
