Stoneware with rice straw ash glaze
Ancient restoration with gold lacquer kintsugi at the rim of the mouth
Light grey stoneware with a transparent and shiny yellowish glaze.
The interior has a bluish-white shading due to the presence of rice straw ash.
The vertical walls of the upper part of the bowl forming a stripe are particularly original and rare. They may evoke the four-sided structures known as Shiho-gata.
The wooden box (tomobako) may have been made for another piece.
Silk and purple fukusa cushions.
